The Rawji Foundation invests in the future through every project of its investment program

The year 2024 was marked by several significant projects for the Rawji Foundation, particularly through its dedicated investment program focused on the construction, improvement, and maintenance of educational infrastructures. These initiatives, designed to enhance learning conditions, reflect the Foundation's unwavering commitment to Congolese youth.

Lubudi I Institute in Matete: a renewed learning environment

The project at Lubudi I Institute in Matete represents a major investment in the future of over 630 students. Inaugurated in November 2024, it included:

  • The renovation of an existing building housing 7 classrooms.

  • The construction of 3 new classrooms, offering modern and well-equipped learning spaces.

This initiative continues the Foundation’s long-standing support for this institution, following the construction in 2016 of a sewing workshop, a science laboratory, and a space dedicated to hospitality trades.

Saint-Louis Institute in Kasa-Vubu: improved infrastructure for better success

At the Saint-Louis Institute in Kasa-Vubu, 890 students now benefit from renovated and improved facilities, thanks to the Foundation's investment program. Inaugurated in October 2024, the project included:

  • The renovation of 14 classrooms, providing a more pleasant and functional learning environment.

  • The installation of new sanitary facilities, enhancing hygiene conditions.

The Rawji Foundation firmly believes that a healthy and modern environment is essential to foster academic success.

Malaika Community Center: vocational training for empowerment

Alongside these construction and renovation projects, the Rawji Foundation continues to strengthen the training offerings of the Malaika Community Center, as well as in other locations through its 90 projects supported since its creation. Since its launch, the center has provided certified and qualifying training to over 5,000 beneficiaries.

Additionally, the Foundation invested in the construction of two buildings for the Malaika Center:

  • One dedicated to carpentry, plumbing, and welding.

  • The other dedicated to painting and IT skills.

These free vocational training programs provide community members with essential technical skills, promoting their professional integration and financial autonomy.

Strategic partnerships for sustainable impact

The Rawji Foundation is convinced that strategic partnerships are essential to maximize the impact of its actions. With this in mind, since 2021 it has partnered with the Tuungana Agro-Pastoral Cooperative (CAPT). This organization, active in agriculture, livestock, and vocational training, shares the Foundation's values and contributes to its goal of sustainable development.

The projects implemented by the Rawji Foundation in 2024 reflect its ongoing commitment to investing in education and vocational training, providing Congolese youth with the means to build a better future.

True to its belief: education for ONE, progress for ALL.
